Conception and Implementation of "Think Labs" within the Framework of the Project "Neustart!"
With its initiative "Neustart!", the German Robert Bosch Stiftung gives citizens and experts the opportunity to work jointly on reform proposals towards a future-oriented German healthcare system. The relaunch initiative consists of three discussion formats that are mutually interlinked: citizen dialogues, think labs and panel discussions. On behalf of the Robert Bosch Stiftung, the Bureau für Zeitgeschehen (BfZ) is responsible for the conception and implementation of the think labs.
Sound Methodology Creatively Implemented
With a total of seven think lab events, "Neustart!" relies on a broad participation of experts. They meet in changing combinations to discuss central aspects of prospective health care. The BfZ supports the events with methodological expertise and creative instruments that raise the future visions of the participants and help them to translating ideas into concepts for reform proposals.
Health Care Must Respond to Social Megatrends
Whether demographic change or digitization - social, economic, ecological and technological megatrends have an impact on the German health care system. Therefore, fundamental reform efforts are needed to find appropriate answers to massive challenges. In this context, the think labs stimulate a healthcare system that focusses on people and patients and is increasingly open to innovation.
