Adjustment of the Decade-Strategy 2030 to Global Change

Global trends, such as the consequences of climate change or the mass loss of biodiversity, are the greatest challenges to our food security. The World Crop Trust aims to safeguard the global genetic pool of crops through the long-term financing of gene banks. The Crop Trust also conserves seed copies of all these crops in a seed vault on Spitsbergen – a kind of Noah’s Ark for global food security.

To adapt its long-term strategy to global change, the Crop Trust commissioned the Bureau für Zeitgeschehen to conduct a trend study, interview experts and develop strategic cornerstones for the next 10 years.
